Waky is not designed to upload your entire photo library or continuously record in the background.
Depending on how you use the App, information may be processed as follows:
Many features—such as scheduling alarms, playing sounds, and storing preferences—run on your device. Alarm-related data and settings you configure are handled locally unless otherwise described below.
For certain wake-up missions that use camera, microphone, or short video, the App may transmit content you explicitly capture for that mission (for example, a photo, a short video clip, or an audio recording) to our secure backend, which forwards the request to Google’s Gemini API (generative AI) solely to verify whether the mission was completed. This processing requires an internet connection for those missions.
We do not use your mission media for advertising, and our backend is designed to handle verification requests without maintaining a personal media archive for App features.
Requests for mission verification may include non-identifying technical details needed for the service to work (for example, device language/locale so explanatory text can match your language, and app version where applicable).
